The establishment is no doubt rattled by the recent announcement to launch a new left wing political party.
After only a year, Keir Starmer’s ‘changed’ Labour Party in government seems to be in serious trouble and heading for a massive defeat in 2029.
Over 800,000 people have signed up to ‘Your Party!’ Will it be what we need to defeat the rigged system and the red & blue Tory political parties that represent the 1%?
We will cover all the latest debates about Your Party across several items, including
1. Your Party – Just move forward or learn from the past?
Some feel ”Your Party’ should start afresh and not be distracted by past mistakes But is it right to ignore the mistakes of the past? What dangers face ‘Your Party’ in the future and how can it defend against them? What can we learn from the past? Is it better for ‘Your Party’ to reflect upon the past sooner rather than risk distraction from important work later?
2. National Conference – What shape should it take?
Many will be wondering how almost one million members might even begin to set in place the constitutional foundations for a new political party. How will ‘Your Party’ ensure that all voices in our society are properly represented at the national conference? Should ‘Your Party’ adopt One Man One Vote or a Federal System? Should members start to think about alternative democratic systems?
3. Policy – How will Your Party capture communities and eventually the voting public?
Years of austerity through neo-liberal sabotage have wrecked the fabric of our society. Communities are more divided than at any time in living memory. The far right is exploiting anger for political gain, whist offering no real solutions to the real hardship felt by our communities.
- How will ‘Your Party’ dissipate real anger and concerns in our society and reunite the working class?
- What policies should feature to restore hope and dignity in our towns, cities and neighborhoods?
- How can ‘Your Party’ restore the intentional damage done to our public services?
